Welcome to the Weston Education Association

WEA OVERVIEW

The Weston Education Association represents the teachers, librarians, counselors, school psychologists, team chairs speech therapists, reading and learning center teachers, generic specialists, academic liaisons, technology specialists, school nurses, occupational therapists and physical therapists in the Weston Public Schools of Weston, Massachusetts.

The Weston Education Association is affiliated with the Massachusetts Teachers Association and the National Education Association.

As stated in the WEA Constitution, the purposes of the Association are:

  • To work for the welfare of school children, the advancement of education, and the improvement of instructional opportunities for all.
  • To develop and promote the adoption of such ethical practices, personnel policies, and standards of preparation and participation as mark a profession.
  • To strengthen the teaching profession by securing and maintaining salaries and conditions of employment necessary to support good education.
  • To enable members to speak with a common voice on matters pertaining of teaching and to present individual and common interests before the School Committee and other legal authorities.
